An album named after a place underwater
A thila is a coral pinnacle that rises from the sea floor without ever breaking the surface — its top hidden a few metres down, its walls dropping away into the dark. Maaya Thila takes its name from one of the best-known of these formations, and treats the piano the same way: something you circle, descend around, and only partly see the whole of at once.
